Were the lone gunmen aliens?

Okay,

In the x-files weren't these guys aliens, obviously now in human form. I don't know. My mom said they were but she could be wrong. It's just she watched it more than I did so I didn't know what the believe: My friends or her. Anyways, if you could help me out with this question that would be awesome, thanks.

No, they were just regular humans, although they did appear to Mulder as ghosts after they died.

how did they die?

reply

They were exposed to a deadly virus in the "X-Files" episode "Jump the Shark". They sacrificed themselves by locking the host of the virus into the airtight room that they were in. Skinner pulled some strings and had them buried in Arlington.

Ironically, a couple of them were in an episode of Honey I Shrunk the Kids TV Show, where later on in the episode they were revealed as aliens...
