Please can someone help? (Please don't spoil!)

Hi there, I'm watching the X-Files from the beginning in chronological order from series 1 to 9 with the movie between series 5 & 6. I am going to buy the TLG DVD soon, can anyone recommend the best place within the X-Files Timeline to watch TLG? Do the series co-incide with eachother so I can watch them side by side? (Please don't misunderstand me, I understand the TLG is a series in its own right independent of the X-Files, its just I understand that many things can overlap within the X-Files and TLG and would like to maximise the enjoyment of watching both.

The only advice I would give is to watch prior to "Jump the Shark" in Season 9.

The series appeared in 2001, so I would assume it parallels season 8.

aha! that's what I was doing, I guess if you took a break before series 8 and watched them through would be a good a place as any. Let us know what you think of them...when you get there.
