i recently got the entire x-files s1-9 and lone gunmen also, now i want to know where does this series fit into the x-files timeline continuity?

coz i dont wanna see the ending of the series before even seeing it

so help me someone!

It aired during Season 8. The DVD's have the individual airdates if you want to see exactly how they aired alongside each other.
