They got rid of them - Thank Heavens - Spoiler

They died nobly and heroically, sacrificing their lives for a just cause, in an episode of X-Files (Ep. 15 - "Jump the Shark" - Season 9). Frankly, I was glad. I was really getting annoyed with those love-starved geeks, and I consider myself a dweeb. It must have been terrible to live in their world. No "real killer" was ever punished, every executed murderer was innocent. No war was truly fought for the reasons given. All sides were the same. Nobody was in control of their own lives and everyone was watching everyone.

They were three lonely, plain, hopelessly ordinary little men trying desperately to be heroic and expose the one great scandal that would bring them the fame, fortune, and beautiful women they so despairingly craved, but could never get in the real world. They were life's losers and they knew it. Not even average, they wanted to be exceptional. The thing is, I knew how they felt. I'm sure many other viewers did too.

No doubt they died happy. They were heroes at last. Death gave them the self-respect they never found in life, and never would have.

"All three of the Lone Gunmen died in the X-Files episode “Jump The Shark”, sacrificing themselves to save thousands from a terrorist created plague by using fire doors to seal themselves in a closed hallway with the man carrying the plague. AD Skinner pulls some strings and arranges for them to be interred at Arlington National Cemetery as tribute to their brave deeds."

This is the exact description from Wikipedia. It pretty much says it all.

At least they died the heroes they always wanted to be. I'm sorry, but I never really liked them. There are too many conspiracy theories in the world. They can't all be right. I know they were used as comic relief, but enough was enough.

Actually I really loved them and they didn't die because they made a series called the lone Gun men and they were also in the x-files movie which I know that David Ducovney and Gillian Anderson are both going to be in the sequel to te X-Files Movie. I hope the Lone Gunmen are going to be in the sequel too.

I consider myself as an X-Files/Lone Gunmen Geek. I love all three of the Lone Gunmen. So Stick this in your pipes and smoke it losers.

They died in an episode of X-Files that came out after their own series was cancelled and after the movie came out. They are dead, unless it turns out that the government faked it all in another conspiracy. That wouldn't surprise me.

You're entitled to your opinion, but so am I. I hated the pathetic nerds. That'll fix your little red wagon.

Their spin-off series was really bad, and deserved to be cancelled. After the pilot episode, which was arguably good and showed so much promise for the series, the show quickly lost all attempts at being taken seriously. It just kept sinking into repetitive lame humor, even bathroom humor. You watch a few episodes, and you start to sense that every other line is gonna' be a contest between Frohike and Langly to see who can come up with the most smarty-pants comeback. The inclusion of the "really stoopid guy" (the Jimmy Bond character) early on was a ludicrous flop, sadly draining whatever seriousness was left in the life of the show. Not even Zuleikka Robinson could save this turkey.

If they're dead, may they rest in peace. Forever.
