avoiding the jumping of the shark

ok, i just watched the series from beginning to end and i have to say, there are a few things about the show i would change to make it more enjoyable:

-Jimmy. Towards the end and the Xfiles episode he became what he should have been from the start, a slighly dim, but passionate guy. His ideas came from common sense rather than risks or intelligence. hes basically the channeler for the audience as the average guy amidst the conspiracy theories and techno-babble.

-More references to X-files. We ARE taking minor guest characters of a very popular show and giving them their own show, so we need to ween the audience off with more references to mulder, scully, and others.

-Lighten up the references about Langley's hair and calling him a girl. What, are we in second grade? it seemed like every episode had someone calling him a girl or woman. the joke was funny the first two times i heard it, and after that was just a real groaner

thats all i can think of right now, but let me know if there are any other things i might have missed

I agree with those points. I liked it when Jimmy became less and less of a ditz and reasonably intelligent and very passionate.

And if all geeks looked and behaved like that, and people believe that is what geeks are and do and how they should look. What would happen if you brainwash people with impossible moral ethics in Tv-shows? Or having the people believe thigs like "girls can never do any harm, And if they do they always have to have a sob story from the past"? Like every hooker has to have a sobb-story IRL right??
