Best Way To Watch With X Files?

I'm in the middle of the seventh season of X Files, and it looks like the Lone Gunmen spin off is approaching in the next season. I want to watch them both in the way they were meant to. Is there a lot of crossover? I remember vaguely watching the ep in the 9th season where it seemed to wrap up the Lone Gunmen arc, but don't remember much about it. Is there anything else besides that I should take not of? This is the first time I am watching both series, aside from a few episodes. I have skipped the "Millennium" episode for the same reason.

Anywhere online I can see the viewing order?

There really isn't any crossover. You can watch the X-Files up to "Jump the Shark", watch the entire Lone Gunman, then continue on with "Jump". That episode, kind-of wraps up the Lone Gunman (If you want to call it that). Some people like to watch TLG and X-Files by date, alternating back and forth, but its not really necessary. I've watched it a number of times, just the way I told you.

If you want to watch it in date order, IMDB has the original air date for both series, you can use that. Hope this helped.

I think to be correct, you need to watch TLG between the end of Seasons 8 and 9 of XF. Ep 1 of Season has a reference to the last episode of TLG and nods to its cancellation (one of the TLG says something like "It's not like we have anything else to do", alluding to the show being cancelled).

I suggest watching them in order. There's not a lot of cross-over, but there's at least one blue-faced Lone-Gunmen reference in an X-files episode that you won't get unless you watch the companion Gunmen episode before.

Where my kids at?

Watch Lone Gunmen after Season 8 of the X-Files because they make a reference to the LG's finale in the Season 9 premiere of XF.
