Why are they showing off their gold panties to the football team?
And why was she wearing only a bandanna for a shirt?

Because sexual innuendos (sp?) sell like hot cakes.

More skin = ussually more profit, even if film itself is crappy.

Welcome to Hollywood.

Besides, it's aimed at horny hormone raging teens.

They're actresses, not professional cheerleaders, of course they're not going to be as well-choreographed etc as a real cheer-team.
