HP the series...would it have lasted?

What if they (had) made it a tv show instead of movies.

Each of the 7 books adapted season by season with 10-13 OneHour episodes each to adapt the source material more faithful and complete.

Perhaps finish it up with a two hour movie to conclude it.

Would you have or even still watch/ed it? What if they made a BBC or HBO series with new actors to remake it for tv, which actors/actresses would you like to see portray which character?

Kids grow too fast. It couldn't have worked unless it were a cartoon

A ten-hour season per book is a bit much. I would suggest five hour long episodes at most. With 44 minutes per episode (with commercials), five episodes would be 220 minutes, far more than any movie from the series. More would likely have to be added to the final season as the two o=movies for DH lasted over 270 minutes.

As for the child actors aging, six to eight weeks filming followed by six months of off time easily ages them accordingly.

Thank god the "TV craze" wasnt going on back then otherwise we probably would have ended up with a tedious HP series. The books work are clearly meant to be movies. Something like Game of Thrones is fine as a TV adaptation because the books are very fragmented, like a show
