Leaving

Howard gone Mrs Tembe going. I'm off too.

Well, it's a shame you've not posted on this board before (unless I'm mistaken). Hardly seems worth your while to only do so to tell us that. 

Must've been a lurker! Bye bye, Mrs T. It'll be interesting to see how long it is before Harker is rumbled...

I didn't think there would be Doctors after Howard, but it's still here. Mrs T hasn't been my favourite character, I was against her being PM as she definitely lacks some of the necessary skills! I'm not sure if this is the end for this character, do we know if Lorna Laidlaw has moved on to pastures new?

From the next episode preview it looks like he's (Anthony)started on Karen (he needs to check himself!!), so far he's put Heston in his place, reacted badly with Sid - charity bike "race" - put Ayesha firmly in her place - although she late and not wearing the appropriate uniform!- and managed to get Mrs T to leave for another practice and a better job!!! Is he just doing his job, working as a saboteur for a rival practice (is the NHS this cutthroat at GP level??)or a racist. I'm looking forward to next week, we have Ayesha's mum, the Staff reeling from Mrs T's "exit(?)", the cracks beginning to show (albeit again) in Heston and Rhuma's affair and more of Anthony being underhand and sly or just doing his job depending on how you feel!

I'm convinced Lorna is just taking a temporary break from the show. Usually if an actor is going to leave for good, it is formally announced, especially if it is someone who has been in a series for a long time. I also think that if she was departing Doctors on a permanent basis, they wouldn't have had her ousted in this fashion - she's too well-loved by a large percentage of the viewers, in my opinion. I have faith that good old Mrs T will be back at The Mill in due course. Although, I must admit being misty-eyed at the end of Friday's episode.

I still have no idea what Anthony's deal is. I'm sure whatever he is up to will slowly be revealed to us in time.

I can't say I'm looking forward to next week's episodes as much as you, RhiJo. Horrible Harker has been sickening me to the core, Ayesha's mum Bren is an infuriating nightmare (I imagine she would be even without the alcoholism), and there's no Mrs Tembe to add some class to proceedings. Going by many of the comments on the Doctors Facebook page, people are being turned off watching in their droves thanks to the shenanigans of late. I wouldn't ditch it myself, but they do need to steer clear of making the show completely unwatchable.

Darkshines have you watched Dickensian.... It's the televisual equivalent of watching a car crash in slomo. Seeing the lovely Miss Havisham being seduced by the cad, Compeyson. Watching Anthony is the same, I know he's up to no good but can't stop watching...

I watched the first few episodes but ended up trailing off due to being so busy. But I understand what you mean. I think I might just be able to endure his sinister machinations now that Mrs Tembe won't be the one bearing the brunt. It's easier knowing he'll almost certainly be busted or thwarted at some point.
