If they do bring in a new character for the Practice Manager role, I don't mind whether they are male or female, as long as they're likeable and entertaining. I immediately took to Howard when he first arrived as he made me laugh. I hope any potential new manager isn't too stuffy or stern - unless some humour can be derived from that. I don't really want any more romances between the staff as there are quite a few on the show already, in my opinion. We had Al and Niamh, maybe Heston and Ruhma, Ayesha and Sid had a bit of a thing, and of course Daniel and Zara. Oh yes, and Emma and Howard until he died. I think Jimmi's got the right idea in pursuing a hobby for a while instead of moving onto another relationship too soon after his recent romantic disaster. Hopefully the photography won't just be a flash in the pan that he drops in the new year!

Judging by today's episode (Wednesday 20th), is anyone, like me, a bit suss that Anthony is deliberately sabotaging all of Mrs Tembe's efforts from when she was PM just to make her look bad? Or is she really as incompetent as he is suggesting? I prefer to believe the former, I can't even begin to imagine Mrs Tembe being sloppy and inefficient in her work. Perhaps the new PM is a bad egg or one to keep an eye on at least? ๎
shareYes, I'm not sure about him yet...he's being nice to everyone except Mrs. T. Maybe he sees her as a threat, or is at least uncomfortable working with someone else who applied for his position? He might even turn out to be a closet racist!
shareIf he is singling her out, hopefully it's only because she was the previous PM and he feels resentful of the fact that some of the staff were sad she lost the role to him. A racism issue would be so awful!
Also, as pjglynndoora stated, it's worth noticing whether a main character is in the opening titles or not. Maybe Anthony will turn out to be a dud and the Mill partners will eventually fire him, perhaps returning Mrs Tembe to the job again?
