The alternate ending was so much better! Why cut it for the stupid trip to India with Jos

Because the alternate ending was the complete opposite of the book's ending? The India ending wasn't quite accurate either, but at least on the right track to what happened in the book (where Becky does hook up with Jos and travels around Europe with him, then appears to cause his death and inherits his money, goes back to England and finally becomes a 'respectable' woman, although her son, Rawdon's family and Amelia and Dobbin always refuse to have anything to do with her).
Under capitalism, man exploits man. Under communism, it's just the opposite.
