Is the movie close to the book?

It would be really helpful if someone answers if the movie is close to the book enough, since I have school work to do connected with the book and I have absolutely no time to read it right now :(
And also, is the movie worth watching as a whole?

You need to read the book. This movie is very different.

If teachers expect you to have read a book, you should never think you can skate by, through seeing a film. Often the two have little in common and you'll fail any exam you're given. It's far more productive, if you actually read a required book.
