The whole point of this movie is that Sara is stupid!!

Sara was an idiot. She meets a guy, they hit it off amazingly, and she doesn't even want to give him her number because she believes in faith... How stupid is that?? Then when she finally does and it blows away.. she doesn't want to give it again because it was suppose to be a sign?? Has any woman out there ever did something that stupid??

No guy would ever do that to a woman he knew he wanted to be with.

This is for Allah... and it's going way out there sucka...

Well, there's a bit more to it than that. She already had a boyfriend. He already had a girlfriend. Some people don't change everything around just because they met somebody nice over a pair of gloves. It was only after thinking about it for several days/weeks/months later that she realized what she'd left. But then she was such a believer in fate, her actions made perfect sense. In a not-very-sensible kind of way, of course.

This is just a character they put in movies from time to time. You know those free spirit hippy types that do things very odd. No way someone is reallife acts like this thats stable

I thought this movie was charming the first time I saw it and overlooked the crazy, I didn't even notice it. All these years later i;m watching it again and this bitch is nuts. I would not be killing myself obsessing about this chick. She's got a screw loose.

We do see her giving some common sense to her patient though, so apparently she can separate her whackado beliefs from her professional work.

Well she did seem to have moved on from the obsession with signs and all that nonsense by the time we caught up with her, because the advice she was giving to the patient was more along the lines of 'we make our own destiny' kind of stuff.

However...everyone i knew in college who majored in psychology was indeed a bit crazy themselves, soooo yeah - no surprise to me that she chose that field as a career ;)

Yeah she was rather stupid but we wound't have this movie if she didn't believe in "faith" or whatever the *beep* it was.

I didn't look at it this way, I saw it as it wasn't the right time for them to get together. Timing is everything when it comes to relationships and at the end of the film it was their time to get together.
