Ariels singing

I know that she has aged but she had this amazing singing voice in the 1st one and it was horrible in the 2nd. What does anyone else think?

She still sings well in this one just with a higher pitch, which is why it sounds different

Actually, Jodi Benson did the voice of Barbie in Toy Story II. It's become somewhat of a game in our family to identity the voices of the actors from one movie to the next, and I get a big kick out of seeing my kids faces when they see the actual person in a live action movie who actually does a voice. (Yea, I know, I lead such an exciting life, huh?)

The quality difference is because the first movie goes to cinema and the sequels are direct to video.

Most of the time (I can only recall two exceptions), the direct-to-video releases don't have to be as good as the original. Basically, they're just made to remind you that the franchise is around.

Ariel didn't have much of a role in number 2, anyway.

Mind you, the tv series is pretty good.

I hope 3 will be better then 2.
