I think she is about 30 in the sequel and she's chnaged so much that you wouldn't even recognize her.I hate her new attitude.I know it's supposed to be like that due to her growing up and becomming a mother and that's a very uninspired circumstance to portray her.Ariel lost all the traits that made her unique : she's not innocent, care-free, energetic, childish, eccentric and rebbelious anymore. She's a totally different character.NAd she didn't even have that much time on screen...Iwanted to see a movie that's all about her and instead we get a movie about her daughter, in which Ariel barely appears as a mother who tries to temper her spoiled kid.

So u think she had Melody right after marrying right? I think so too.

she's not innocent, care-free, energetic, childish, eccentric and rebbelious anymore.

What do you mean by her not being innocent? And besides it's realistic. All of us (humans male or female) change from when we were teenagers to when we become parents. We mature, settle down and stop rebelling and take responsibility. She's an adult now of course she's not gonna be rebellious and childish. It's natural cuz we start thinking less of ourselves and consentrate on our kids being care-free, energetic, childish, eccentric and rebelious.

See my point?

I know it sounds like i'm a know-it-all about this stuff 4 an 18-year-old with no kids but I have a neice and another neice/nephew on the way. :-D but still right?

I'm not insulting ur opinion just stating mine.

that might be true in real life but this is a disney movie and i think everyone wanted to c ariel as ariel and not as some b!tchy mom who's all "get out of the water". but i do get that she's not 16 anymore but i really think the movie'd be better if she wasn't so annoying. don't get me wrong, i absolutley LOVE this movie but i wish she was more fun.

While I hate that Ariel has changed, I accept that she would in real life because of growing up, becoming a parent, etc...as has already been mentioned.

I just don't like the way she's turned into Triton. Surely she'd learn from his parenting mistakes, and not flip out like he did?

I would shake your hand but I fear it would fall off-Edmund, Blackadder II
