I wonder if he is goning to be in the 3rd instalment?
I hope so we can have Melody in her late teens and that merman getting together...

That makes sence I liked the series. He looks a kinda like Urchin and had the same tail color. Ariel was like a sister to Urchin and if Melody and his son hooked up they would be kinda related.

sorry to disappoint, but Wikipedia says that the third movie might be a prequel and that melody is confirmed to not be in TLM3

however, tara strong is listed on the cast list as "additional voices"

I'm not trying to be mean...but since when can Wikipedia be used as a valid source??? Anybody with half a brain can edit that!! I could go on now and edit it and say that TLM3 is about how Ursula comes back from the dead, kills Ariel and marries Eric!!!

Now the trailer of it on TLM dvd shows her as a mermaid so its possible...but I would use that as evidence before the extremely fallible Wikipedia.

Tara Strong confirmed that Melody is not in TLM 3, because TLM3 is a prequel, and that she'll be doing the voices of Ariel's sisters.

Wikipedia claims early 2008, but i get the feeling that this is merely older info that that replaced with newer info... Because the DVD preview says "Coming soon", and the fact that it shows actual footage would make a 2008 release a bit strange.

you guys are dumb, there will be a thrid installment. hate to break it to ya, however it seemed like you four want a third one. back the mermaid 3, if you guys even wanted to see if there was, wouldnt you have at least tried to see if there was one, like where you would look for films at the top of the page? it would seen very obvious to do that. im sorry if im mean, but whatev.

It's been theorized that the merboy is the son of Urchin and Gabriella from the TV series.

Hints:
The merboy has a green tail, so does Urchin.
The merboy has blond hair, so does Urchin.

The merboy has brown eyebrows, Gabriella has brown hair.
The merboy has green eyes, so does Gabriella.

The merboy's hair style is similar to Gabriella's, maybe crossed with Urchin's. He also has darker streaks of blonde, almost brown, in his hair.
The merboy's skin color seems a little darker than the others. Gabriella had dark skin and Urchin had light skin.

These are little pointers that creators make that are there for people to see if they know where to look without having to straight out say things. And I ship Melody and the merboy as a couple.

According to both DisneyWikia and LittleMermaidWikia, his name is Alex.
