No Melody

Disney Channel will be releasing TVmovie and possible series called Decendants

the "CHILDREN" of Disney royalty

NO child for Ariel/Eric hence Melody in Disney's eyes NEVER happened

reply

I really wouldn't say that, considering Ariel and Eric aren't even in the movie at all. If they REALLY wanted to dismiss Melody or her movie, they probably would have inserted Ariel and Eric into the movie, yet make absolute certain they have a completely different kid and no reference to Melody at all. That's how I would have done and others as well (heck, that's what happened to Kopa in favor of Kiara).

Besides, I'm kind of glad Ariel, Eric, and if she's still acknowledged, Melody aren't in Descendants, considering the fact that the characters they did insert not only looked horrible, but they even gave their kids literal bad names (I think the only character whose name is relatively decent was Rapunzel's daughter).

My point is this only justifies my beleief of Disney's love HATEšŸ˜
relationship with the films

I guess you have a point there, but then again, it could have been worse: they could have included Ariel and Eric, yet give them the outfits best fit for a freak show, alongside their kid (Melody or new child, doesn't matter), and if a new kid, also give their new kid the worst name imaginable. It's a bit of a hidden blessing, really.

You'd think the beastly couple would have had a daughter

I only discovered this at the NY toy fair vid someone put up on you tube

I agree most of the names were awful. I mean the name Ben (Belle's son) made sense but the rest not so much. For the most part they seemed like nicknames instead of actual names.

Disney's Descendants is completely non-canon with the movies.
