Different Ned in the pilot?

I was just watching the pilot/first episode in syndication on TNT, and the actor playing Ned Malone is clearly not David Orth. However, IMDb has no listing for another actor in this role. Any hardcore fans out there know who this mystery man is?

Nevermind, I'm an idiot. I just answered my own question. That said, anyone know WHY DeVry left and Orth took his place after the pilot?

The producers replaced Mr. DeVry because they wanted a different type (not physical, but acting style). David did an excellent job during his three years on the show.
