......Apeboy I'm going to have to agree with you. First mistep happened when they changed Veronica's past and made her 'protector of the plateau' and the next was when the aptly named Finn was added to complete the 'jumping of the shark'. I guess I was hoping they could see the error of their ways and bring back the good old days in Season 4.

I agree somewhat (The storyline was going downill) but will definitely miss the show. Yet another of my favorites that has gone off the air...

I have to disagree with you. I thought the third season was awesome. I was kind of tired of the random episodes where they struggle with Cannibals, dinosaurs, and lizard men, etc in the first two seasons. The third season finally got a plot, and was working towards an end goal. If we got a season 4 we'd find out what that goal was. But here's hoping will get a miniseries.
shareThere was NO confirmation of Veronica being the Protector of the Plateu. In fact; J&G said, could be, not would be. As for Finn, there is a lot of issues surrounding her involvement (supposedly she was to be in at least 17 out of 22 episodes). Who knows, she could be the "Protector"?
I'd tend to agree, but adding Finn was almost a necessity, between David Orth and Jennifer O'Dell playing "come and go" all the time, plus the loss of Michael Sinelnikof early on... didn't leave many cast memebers to work with.
sharei'm so glad you mentioned the "come and go" thing..what was the deal with david orth sort of leaving the show towards the end? david orth's status changed from castmember to guest star or featuring or whatever, and he stayed in the opening credits even though he was basically gone, i always wondered why, and i thought he shouldve at least been brought back for the season 3 finale, with all the stuff that happened on the last episode, i mean he was technically there so something would've happened to him..i never liked him so i'm not complaining but i was curious to see if anyone knew.
shareI heard that the laws in Austrailia/ New Zealand changed limiting the presence of foreign actors ie Orth and O'Dell and that is why there is little of them in the last season.

The thinking still is a summation of the 4th season. Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens have all the notes (and script ideas). However, they need permission from the Executive Producer (who might be working on pulling together a mini-series) and until there is a definate NO to a mini-series, they can't release the summation.
Looks like there will be a summation. Check out the Forum on the official site for more information on the subject. It'll be hard to register for those of you willing to join. But I recommend it if you want to.

shareI am so frsutrated. When the series first aired, I assumed that I had missed the final episode. Turns out - I saw it! I can't believe it ended that way. They have to come out with something for us.
A side note on Finn - I think she is the great-great (how many ever greats) granddaughter of Malone & Veronica. They look alike; she was born on the Plateau; and they hinted at a family connection in the last episode - how Finn felt a connection (like sisters) to Veronica... But I guess we'll never know!
The summary should be available within a week for so....on the official board.

If they hadn't added the to be continued, it would have been up to the viewer to decide if they were fine or not, and given the contents of the episode, obviously the plateu and possibly the world was in fact destroyed.
I think they should take the to be continued off the episode, at least on tnt airings, cause it totally fakes everyone out.
It's kinda funny the producers or writers were involved with star trek enterprise too.<roflol> Seems 3 seasons is all they get.<chuckle>
