Reruns of TLW Will to air in off-network syndication this fall.

*SPECIAL NOTE -- THIS DOES NOT MEAN, NEW EPISODES, IT DOES MEAN AIRING EPISODES during the day or evening (possibly in addition to TNT)starting this coming FALL. Don't know which 52 out of the 66 episodes filmed WiLL be airing in the US*

New Line Television's The Lost World Heads to Off-Net Syndication:

New Line Television will bring Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Lost World to off-network syndication next fall. Fifty-two episodes of the nationally syndicated action hour will be introduced on a barter only basis. Based on Doyle's classic tale of dinosaurs and adventure, The Lost World tells the story of an expedition team that crashes into a world of ape men, flesh-eating dinosaurs, giant crocodiles and bizarre plant life.

According to David Spiegelman, Senior Executive Vice President, Domestic Television Distribution & Marketing at New Line Television: "The creation of The CW has opened the door for many stations across the country to take on independent status. We see The Lost World's evergreen content as a perfect fit for stations who seek quality programming to fill their lineups this fall. All you have to do is look at the success of Lost to know that the time is right for The Lost World to make its return to television."

WOW
W-O-W
What other old sydi-shows might they ressurrect?

BTW, flint, did you know that David Orth was on one episode of Supernatural just recently? The episode was called "Scarecrow", I actually think they may be re-airing it next week.

Thanks for the heads up on David. :)

Um, yeah. I don't know if any of you guys have seen 'em but I've been watching The Lost World re-runs on TNT for a few months now. It's on in the middle of the night in a slot TNT calls "Drama in the AM". They're on at like 3AM or sometime close to that. At least that's how it is on our TV set-up, we have Dish Network so that's what I'm going on. Hope you're able to see them fellow TLW fans. Enjoy...!

Thanks for the heads up ~~ I've noticed they play some of the 3rd season real early in the AM. :)

Hey, flint, with all the stations announcing their Fall '06 line-ups last week have you heard any new news about TLW reruns?

reply

Tauking, haven't heard a word, yet, except today it was announced; TLW is leaving TNT in June.

reply

Even though I don't have cable or satellite tv that news makes me sad.
I used to get the TLW e-mail newsletter, it tore me up when they sent the last one thanking us for our support through the years and that they were taking the re-runs off of broadcast-network tv.
*sniffle*

I remember receiving my first in January 2001; then the one announcing the third season (August 13, 2001); then the one announcing it was the last newsletter. :(

reply

Just received unofficial word; that at this time the CW isn't going to carry TLW in syndication. :(

I can't answer your question about "When shows are released to DVD the studio likes to leave out some episodes" because it's a puzzle to me too. I do know TLW when released to DVD; included all the episodes.

... the show originally aired in Syndication in 2002 (this is aside from TNT) Newline only wanted to air 52 episodes (for reasons I have yet to understand)but...they did ask the official board, which episodes should be chosen. And the suggestions were incorporated.
