How did she do law classes and medical classes and manage to graduate in 4 years. Those are too very different subjects with very different classes. How did she manage to go to all those classes and work on the yearbook, and study for the LSATs and the MCATS
I wish we knew what Paris majored in during college. I know she was pre-med but she could easily go to law school with a science degree of course. I can imagine that Paris managed to study for both but it would be highly difficult. They could've shown her studying for the exams. I definitely couldn't handle it. I was going crazy this past semester taking a full load in graduate school and preparing for the GMAT. Paris probably has super powers lol. Do you think she double majored? SO many questions and we get no answers. The writers should've consulted with someone who went to college to make things more realistic.

She applied to Medical school first. Lets try and make sense of this:
Undegrad : 2003-2007 --> Pre-Med : Let's say one of the sciences. Biology, Chemistry, etc. Since she did go to Law school, I'm guessing she took at least a few classes for Law school as well. I'm pretty sure she mentioned a few of her classes and they mostly sounded like the classes that would fit the description for Law school.
Getting ready for the MCATs : 2006ish --> This could have been during the time that Rory was not at school + the time that Rory moved in with Logan. So we never really saw Paris study. I don't know how hard it is, I imagine it's really hard, but I don't think Paris needed any longer than 2-3 months to get ready for this. I'm taking the GRE in a few months, and I plan on studying for it a month before. But the GRE is not as hard, of course.
Medical School : 2007-2014 --> Plus she needs at least 3 years residency, so I'm saying that's the maximum stretching.
Law School : 2014-before 2016 --> Can't be done! Just, no. Law school is 3 years. She should still be a law student.
Even if she took some graduate level courses related to her Law school courses, she would need to be a superhero to do this. Let's not forget she did all of this in the most competitive schools around the world, too.
If you ignore the revival, as I do, and regard season 7 as the finale, Paris went medical school after Yale. I believe she settled on Harvard, right? Afterwards she would have followed the goal she had voiced in season 1-- to become a medical researcher and find a cure for cancer. I believe that a decade later she would be on staff in the oncology department of a prestigious hospital and doing research. I can't envision her running a fertility clinic. I don't think she would have gone to law school after medical school, that's quite a stretch even for Paris.

Not to mention a total waste of time! Why would anyone go to Law school after Medical school? You're a Doctor for god's sake, it's not like the job market sucks or you don't feel it's prestigious enough!

And say what you will about Paris, her main goal in life was not to accumulate material wealth. Despite her rough edges, she wanted to do what was in the best interest of humanity. She wanted to find a cure for cancer. I can't imagine her going through all of that schooling to open a fertility clinic so she could become wildly rich and successful. Especially not at the expense of her husband and children. Paris was very loyal to her few friends, and I imagine she would have been very loyal to Doyle and to theur children.
Yeah I don't buy their marital issues. Paris is very dedicated and Doyle was her perfect match. I'm not sure why ASP loves to make every couple miserable but shockingly people can be happy when they're married or just in love. I could see Paris going to law school later down the line but not right after medical school.

Really? I love Paris, she's my number one favorite character on the show; but man I never thought she was a kind or goodhearted human being. Nope. She was a bully. She still is. She tells it like it is, but she is mean about it. She does have the "I'm better than everyone" attitude, and to her it's justified. A couple of incidents in her life humbled her a little (like not getting into Harvard, her parents losing their money, etc) but she never really mellowed. The only redeeming quality of Paris is that she knows she's an *beep* and she's fine with it and unlike Rory, doesn't pretend to be an angel.
You don't think there is anything good about a person who wants to find a cure for cancer? Paris was a loyal friend to Rory and Doyle. I can make a list of examples tomorrow if you like. There are lots of people who have rough edges but kind hearts (Luke is another example).
Good point about the cancer cure. Maybe she is an old softy underneath the Maleficent she displays to the world. I still question her intentions. She never really cared about anyone except her Nanny and Doyle. She usually just used people. Same as Rory, but at least Paris knew she was doing it and admitted it.
She helped Rory to reconcile with Lucy. She called the hospital when Logan was injured, found out what was going on, and explained it to Rory. She and Rory petitioned for political freedom for some country (can't remember which one). She allowed Lane to live in their dorm room for weeks. She held a memorial for her professor boyfriend and took care of most of the funeral arrangements for him. She adored Doyle. She went on spring break with Rory. She definitely had a good side.
I read this in Paris' voice actually. I could see her going to law school later on in life if she was still interested in it but not right after medical school. Paris is very intelligent but she doesn't like to waste her time or energy. I think she would focus all of her energy on medicine/science.

I think Paris liked to keep all of her options open. But I also think she would want to be dedicated and focused on one career goal, not two. She worked very hard during Chilton and Ysle, and I imagine through medical school as well. But there was an end goal in sight. After medical school I envision that she would have devoted her time and energy into her career and her family. Paris was not close to her parents while growing up because their careers came first, and her parents were always fighting. Her nanny basically raised her. I think Paris would not want to repeat that cycle. I think she would be devoted to her husband and want to spend time with their children. I don't see room for law school. While ASP was a big fan of history repeating itself, I don't see this as having happened to Rory or Paris. I see both of them as becoming successful both in their careers and in their relationships. I don't even like Rory, but I really think she would have had a much more successful life at age 32 than ASP gave her, and I believe Paris would have had a very close-knit family. That's the ending for GG that I like to believe.
I was wondering how she earned two degrees and had two kids and started a business by the time she was 32. She can't have! Unless she started her business while in law school?
Does Yale take AP credits? If Paris aced the major AP courses at Chilton, she knocked out most of the freshman requirements before entering the fall of her first year.
Very true I forgot about AP classes. I imagine that she took quite a few AP classes but certain colleges won't accept the exams in place of classes like certain history or economics classes. She may have skipped her entire freshman year from AP credits. Very good point!
