very unrealistic

someone comes to conquer your country and you give one of them the room of your daughter!! this was very very fcking stupid. As a Turk if same situation happened in my country the father would kill that soldier no mather his rank is. As we and Greeks are nearly at the same level at nationalism they would do the same. This was incredibly silly.

well it actually happened all over soldiers were billeted with people same as all through history the father is a doctor who sees murder an violence as stupid an if he loves his daughter why get himself murdered an her most likely raped an hung as an example as much as the italians wernt as barbaric usually theyd still react harshly if u murder one of them. in areas of strong resistance u risked them turning round an arrestin or killin many as a deterent. many characters are shown as blinded by patriotism such as christian bales resentment to the italian officer but realistically in a situation where u are out numbered an out gunned with no where for the whole village to run an hide killin him would have been suicide for whoever killed him and others. also he does not move in straight away the occupation lasted years it was probably after a few months when things had calmed down like gettin drunk at the beach didnt happen the day they arrived but when everyone learned to live with each other. hard to stay hating someone for years once u see their humanity an they have treated you decently, plus the father was gaining supplies and making money from it which helps his people and feeds himself an his daughter. people always talk how they want to kill everything a wise man once said patriots are always talkin of the glory of dyin for their country but they neglect to mention the glory of murdering for it

I don't think he was given a choice but that was not made clear.

What was stupid was the way the doctor yelled at and/or threatened Cage, saying he didn't accept his authority and so on. So unrealistic it couldn't even serve as parody.
