well first off the movie needed more christian bale ! cages accent was horrid! also for the first have of the movie its a love story and i was thinking as i am watching my mom would love this, but then like the second half is like all blood and gore and i'm like never mind my dad would like this movie. they tried to mix love and gore and it didn't turn out good.
shareI agree....Cage's accent was not good. Not at all good. Apart from that i found his acting good. He definitely played his part well and delivered emotion. I feel the movie worked well. War happens & romance occurs within it. That's life that's what happens whether you believe it 'works' or not.
shareI thought Cage's accent was one of the few things that was ok about the movie. Granted it wasn't very convincing but he had his moments, and at least he tried (many Hollywood actors/actresses don't even bother).
It was nowhere near as bad as Kevin Kline playing a Frenchman.
