Good movie

I got lucky and found this movie avaiable on the net and bought it a while back (about 3-4 years tops). I mostly enjoyed it because of how beautiful most of the backgrounds are and the fact that's it's one of the few times that the original Japanese models of the characters were used in an animated form the way they should have been done by those who made the old American based Sonic cartoons. Let me know if I'm wrong, but it defintely looks like a majority of the animators that worked on the opening and ending cutscenes for Sonic CD worked on this film. The one thing I want to see however, is a Sonic movie that finally shows us the real origin of Sonic and Eggman (Robotnik in this film). Not origin from all the TV Shows or this movie, but rather the origin whereas the game is concerned. The games are the main story concerning Sonic's stories, yet there are so many speculations floating around as to how Sonic and Eggman became enemies, or came to know each other for that matter.

I seen the movie first time a few days ago aswell must say the movie was ok,
the graphics were great, storyline was ok but the voices were terrible
and I dont like it when people compare the movie to 2006 standards because obviously its gonna be poor but for 1996 animation ITS A TOP MOVIE OK????
anyway the main downer was the length, 60 minutes and I found that when the best bits were starting the movie was ending which was a dissapointment.
If sega make a new movie just dont make it like SONIC X otherwise it will be just as bad.In the eng dub Tails sounded like Chucky from the rugrats
sonic sounded like hes got a terrible cold.
knuckles sounds like some cheesy texas guy
the only voice that was ok was Dr Robotniks.

I wasn't comparing 1996's standards with 2006 standards. I was just pointing out that most Sonic cartoons in America in the early 90's were American made. Japan making this movie is a rare occurence because it doesn't look like they made much else whereas the original Japanese Outlines for the Characters are concerned. Sonic X as well as current Sonic games from 1999 up mostly use the International Charater Outlines. Seeing this movie allows you to see a majority of the Japanese Outlines in action one last time. After that, animators apparently scrapped any new ideas until Sonic X.
