I can understand how some movies become under-rated, but not this one. Brilliant writing, acting, and directing.
If you don't like this movie then go watch something mindless that doesn't take much effort to understand.
I agree greatest movie ever but never seem to get a lot of attention I don't know how much money it made but probably not a whole lot. I am a major movie buff Ione thousands of them this is possibly my favorite just because of its vague Clues and an ending that just makes you want to scream because it ruins a brilliant detectives life basically. I understand it is just a movie but it just makes you hurt watching the end when you know he was right all along. And I still think that Aaron Eckhart new the murderer was in the black car at the accident scene but didn't say anything about it because it would prove him wrong the camera even does it close up on him as he looks at the accident. Very few people agree with that but I believe it was in Sean Penn's genius that we got that piece of art. He didn't give it to us easily you had to actually use your head I had to watch it 3 or 4 times long ago before I got it
