The main theme song, or whistled tune, of the movie sounds really like something from Once Upon a Time in The West, is it? or is it just a good hommage? Can anyone tell me?

shareExactly right. Verbinski mentions on the commentary how he'd always walk out of a spaghetti western whistling the theme song, and wanted this movie to have the same effect. Very nice job by Alan Silvestri, who quite literally whistles it for us.
