shareI agree totally with you, i think this film was one of those gems that came on tv and i was just blown away by it i fort it was so enjoyable and so simple i loved this film in my opinion it should get a 7 at least :D....thats jus wot i fink anyways lol
shareI agree, I saw this film for the first time on HBO last night and I loved it! Now this is saying a lot since I tend to despise some of Brad Pitt's and Julia Roberts' movies (i.e. Troy (aka the Brad Pitt show) and Ocean's Twelve). So since I was apprehensive about it at first I was trying to notice all of the movie's flaws, but I couldn't help but notice its achievements. The thing I loved about it was that it tied all of its different elements together by the end of the movie. The idea of the stop light/fate and the myth of the gun/love were central to the movie and I think if they were put together in any other way the movie would've ended up being a more than cheesy chick flick. I also give this film credit for not stopping after the 'never' scene at the airport when the two main characters could have easily ran off into sunset, but instead they were forced to give us the illusion that things might not turn out well even though we knew that it would. I'd say it deserves an 8, but it should get at least a 7.
