ok this movie is definitley worse than Gigli i wont say its 1 of the wors ever (because hollywood is full with battlefield earth, fast & the fuirious & freddy Prinze jr)
at least Gigli had good premsis some good dialogoues & fine performnances (except for Affleck)
this one is totally pointless, lack everything WHAT WERE THEY THINKING???
OK, if it is really true that Gigli is even better than this movie, than I should see that one as quickly as possible. I always thought that Gigli was one of the worst movies ever made, but apparently you know better.
Personally I liked The Mexican. OK, it isn't the most intelligent movie I've ever seen, but I had a very good time watching it. I liked what I saw, but perhaps that says more about me, my kind of humor and my taste of movies than I would like. Oh well, everybody is allowed to have his own opinion of course.
You know, in fact every movie is pointless ... No movie or documentary will ever change the world (not even when it comes from Michael Moore, as America has proven again a few weeks ago!!!!). Just learn to watch a movie and to have a good time doing so. If you want something more intelligent to pass your time with, read the books of Steven Hawkins. You may not understand it, but at least you'll be able to pretend you are a very intelligent person.
-------------- I saw my whole life flash before my eyes! ...It was boring! (Chicken Run)
I liked the movie also. It was funny. To compare it to Gigli is just..Poposturius. lol. I mean seriously, a movie with JULIA ROBERTS and Brat Pitt will never be as bad as the movie Gigli.
No it wasn't worse than Gigli but it wasn't too far from it. Pitt and Roberts aren't really that bad in this movie, its the script and the directing that makes this movie seem a bit silly and dumb in some places. I'd have to wonder what they were thinking when it comes to the main characters, dumb isn't very interesting or sexy. So why make your main characters that way? Who's going to identify with that kind of a character? But I think maybe they just thought that Pitt and Roberts's fans would pay to see them in anything?
it's funny I like both of those movies and ironically i watched gigli right before i put in the mexican. they are just movies y are they taken so seriously it is to get a little laugh out of and continue on with your life...
blasphemy. the mexican is a 4 star movie compared to gigli... im not exaggerating either. i used to love bennifer but when i saw that movie i was annoyed with the both of them
Disagree 100%. I thought this movie was fantastic, and horribly underrated - or at least, over-ignored. I was really surprised at how quirky, funny, original, and irreverent this movie was. Definitely a rent and see flick, you won;t be disappointed.
