WTF is so wrong with this movie ??

Seriously, it had likeable characters & pretty good acting, a great storyline full of humour AND with a curious plot twist, great scenes, kept you hooked (i caught it on TV and thought it was really cool so decided to continue watching it)... only with that the movie deserves a 7 at least !
My guess is that guys who hate Brad Pitt and women who hate Julia Roberts wjust joined forces and decided to mess this movie up... i mean HOW is this any worse than some of Tarantino's latest films? Seriously, I'm not saying stuff like Death Proof wasnt entertaining, but there is not an abysmal difference between that and this - id say this is actually better :S

What does Quentin Tarantino have to do with anything?

I know your post was almost 2 years ago but...
In my opinion the movie was pretty cheesy. Not awful but bad. The most enjoyable character and the best actor was James Gandolfini. Brad Pitt's character was embarrassing in most cases. Pitt's character was over-exaggerated to a point which had him jumping around like a cartoon character chasing after a donkey? I understand the humor if he was bugg's bunny but this was way too much.
The movie's humor jumped way out of proportion and realism. Which was my problem.
I mean how can I take it seriously???
Examples:
1. Dozens of bullets falling out of the sky around Pitt's vicinity.
2. Rabid dog, being way out of control, but under control enoough to be comical.
3. Chasing after a donkey, and the donkey, slowly gets away!?
4. "El trucko" to the next "town-o"...

The list goes on and on and on. I mean, I do get the humor. I really do. But this might as well just been a cartoon. I mean tie a bomb to Pitt's ass and blow him up! Then magically see Pitt piece himself together like in the Looney Toons.

What I mean is where do you draw the line of funny and just ludicrous. That was my main problem with the film...
