I REALLY dislike Dora.

But my kid likes it so I have to suffer through it. I LOVE Swiper, though. Love it when he gets to swipe stuff. He's the highlight of the cartoon, at least for me. Also, what is up with Tico the squirrel? He is one ugly squirrel. He looks like he's ALWAYS in shock, with his teeth bared. Almost as if he stuck his tail in an electrical socket. And Boots. Don't like him either.

I guess I'm just SICK and TIRED of Dora the Explorer. Please, baby boy! Outgrow Dora, soon.

For those of you who don't like dora, fine, let it be. But calling them gay and retarded, how old are you? nimafarmanesh1988, you can't even use proper english. "for people who doesn't know how", ok. maybe you should watch it more often, and learn some things from dora. also, of course it's for people that dont know how to count and their alphabet. Its targeted for younger children. thats the whole point, to help them learn.

your daughter was born when you were 10? I was just taking 7 away from 17. unless you mistyped it.

no, I have someone in my family who was a mother at 13. I didn't mean to be offensive, I just didn't know if I had read the statement right.

That's impossible... having a baby at 10 and having 22 children by 17. Who are you foolin'?? Are you a dog...are you talking about puppies?? You should watch more children's TV so you can learn how to count.
And please... Death to Angel <<< what is that??

5 month olds cannot speak, much less count. Unless your daughter is extraordinarly advanced, you're lying to make yourself look good.

Don't go around making those of us who became parents young look bad, you moron.

If I wanted your opinion, I'd ask.

5 month olds are physiologically incapbable of speech. They do not have the requisite vocal cord formation, nor the ability to form the mouth movements of true words. I don't think my 16 month old would like it much if I got myself killed, and I am not a dyke. I have a boyfriend who will happily attest to that one. If you're gonna lie, make it believeable.

Dora is a wonderful addition for the under 3 crowd, IMHO. My daughter loves Dora, and has learned a lot from it. If you don't like it, that's fine. You're entitled to your opinion. But I think it's a fantastic show with great lessons about everything from friendship to career choices. My little one learned to count and is attempting some Spanish words, and I attribute the latter to Dora. I want her to learn a language, and Spanish is the most useful one she could learn. And Dora's teaching her Spanish.

If I wanted your opinion, I'd ask.

Maybe you should stop watching kids show since you can't seem to seperate fantasy from reality. There is a very small probablity that a 10 year old can have a kid. Though I wont say it's impossible, it's high unlikely.

As for a 5 month old knowing how to count and there letters, the other poster explained that better then I could.

Mmmmhmmm, personally I think your just lying. While I can accept you have a 7 year old daughter it's very unlikely, and even less likely you have 22 as you claim. One child, maybe, 2 unlikely, 3 kids you most likely would of been taken from anyone who's care you where put into. Since you are still under age.

If your gonna lie, make it believable. Even if you had a child at the age of 10 and then 21 more childern I dout you would have contact with any of them to know if there as smart as you claim. And to have that many kids you'ld had to have had multiple sets of twins, and had to have gotten pregent very soon after each birth.

No, it's true. Not only adults are allowed to be parents. But 10 years defently NOT allowed to have kids under pretty much EVERY legal systems in the world. As far as I know, 14 is the youngest legal age to get married. I don't know which country you live in, but I'm sure if you got pregent more then once under the age of 14 you'ld be in a a ward of the state after being shoved from foster home to foster home and more then likely in a rape victems counsiling program.

Just laying out the facts for ya. No need to scream about it.

around my house dora is known as the idiot explorer. the kids are not allowed to watch it.

I don't have children but I have younger cousins and I believe that Dora is amazing! A child should learn to speak a second language while there brain is also learning English. I bet if you ask children, who learned some Spanish words from Dora, in 20 years they will still know them, regardless of other language teachings. I think that Dora is a wonderful cartoon that all children should watch, as long as their parents want them to speak a language. I wish they had shows like this when I was younger. I started learning Spanish when i was about 5 and know I'm very fluent. To a bilingual student, Dora is a very good show for children to watch. If you want to subject your children to a second language and you don't know how to speak it, I highly encourage you to let them watch Dora the Explorer. However, if you don't want to subject your children to a second language or culture, keep refering to it as Dora the Idiot Explorer. I think it is ridiculous to ban children from watching any type of children's learning shows! Que ridículo!!

The thing I don't like about Dora is the way she screams everything. This girl needs some volume control, big time, and ever episode is exactly the same thing, with no real story. Terrible.

It is only a cartoon. I wish everybody could respect other's opinions, be more compassionate and avoid the use of unpleasant tone and language. It's wonderful that my 3 year old daughter can easily distinguish between two languages. For instance it was cute when she needed help putting her snoes on at one time, "ayuda me!". That really surprised her grandmother! I was surprised as we climbed the stairs, she said "Sube". She also watches Go! Diego! Go!

I admit the Dora and Diego cartoons are silly and albeit sometimes annoying. But from an educational standpoint, repetition and practice are essential for long term learning, which are lacking in our schools today. I am at least grateful to Dora for helping my daughter recognize and generalize patterns, count in a fun way, and develop critical thinking skills, which shockingly many of my high schoolmath students are afraid and do not use when necessary.

Cheers to all!
