This is what dora is teaching my kid...

1. You don't need a permission to go all over the world as long as you have backpack and talking map.
2. If in danger just shout: "Swiper, no swiping!" three times, and problem will go away!

list goes on...

It also teaches your kid to YELL AT THE TOP OF THEIR LUNGS.
You dont have parents to answer too all you have to do is figure out these clues and you can do anything.

You people are such retards. Come on. I have three kids, one of them just turned 10. They all have watched Dora LOTS. But it hasn't caused my kids to go around screaming or trying to travel the world. That's ridiculous. If you're kid is negatively influenced by the cartoon, then obviously the kid's lagging behind on parental teaching. It's your job to help reinforce common sense learning. Sounds like you are expecting Dora to be their nanny.

reply

Wow.
Coming out of the flood gates calling people retards because of their perspective of a kids show....
Hopefully your three kids are more intelligent when they are addressing other peoples opinions on which they disagree.
Maybe you should be paying more attention to Dora and how she addresses the rest of human kind.

reply

Must be something wrong with the kids. If so, then parents too.

This is what Dora is teaching your kid? First of all, why aren't YOU teaching your kid? And is your kid actually doing any of those things? Don't answer that-- I know they're not.

My niece watches this show, and the only things she seemed to learn were some Spanish words and that stealing is wrong. I think it could be hard to teach a 2 year old the concept of 'stealing is wrong', but Dora sure did the trick.

Want to know a show to keep your kid from watching? Check out Caillou.

You know, life would be SO much easier if I could just tell my problem to go away three times.
