First off, I love the film, own it and have watched it many times.
But where did val come up with the quarter million. The plan was to meet pooh bear at the motel and we see the FBI agent show up with a breifcase, assuming with the money enclosed that they plan to trap pooh bear and the two corrupt cops with. But val shows up at pooh bear with all the cash. Any thoughts.

Yes, Tom/Danny got the money from Bubba/FBI. He was on his way to the buy in Jimmy's car, with the money; he had already arranged to have Jimmy waiting in the convenience store in the same clothes (edit: or they switched clothes) so they could switch places; the FBI followed Jimmy to the motel, leaving Tom/Danny free to go to Pooh Bear's. Tom/Danny must have taken the money into the store with him. The question for me is where did Tom/Danny get the motorcycle.
Nice point, hadn't noticed but Val shouldn't have the money. FBI did show at the hotel w/ a case.Hmm. Also with the money, the problem I noticed was the deal with Pooh. Val said he worked out a deal for 250,000. He wanted 40 pounds at 6,000, 240,000. He and Pooh settled at 8,000 a pound, so it's a big difference to 320,000. The extra 70,000 never gets discussed but I guess we tend to dissect films too much. And yeah, where did he suddenly get a motorcycle?
shareI had thought it was $250,000 max, so when the price went up to $8000 a pound, he would just get 30 pounds or thereabouts. I might be wrong.
