$764,554 domestic. That's really really bad. I liked the movie though.

Blame a snafu(or politics) at the studio, I guess: this film had zero marketing. No ads, no trailers, no previews, no hype, nada. Hard for any film to profit under those conditions.

also it was limited release. hardly on any screens. read the trivia.

That's really not bad at all for a limited release movie.

This movie has really built up a good following over the years thanks to constant showings on cable channels. I know lots of people with the DVD -- or the VHS! So, yeah, it's probably a decent chunk of its money back.

I haven't heard or read about this movie in the media at all. I heard about it from a friend and then watched it.

I was really surprised to see that as I consider it to be a decent movie. Same thing happened with my all-time favorite movie - True Romance. It bombed at the box office.
