The most underrated film of the decade.

Yup.

I don't know how I remembered, but it finally came to me the other day and I grabbed it b/c I had seen Ebert's review of it on t.v. some years ago. He loved it at the time.

It's been over 8 years since that moment. Well worth it.

reply

No, Reflections of Evil is.

this is a good one though.

eh, it was just ok, hardly underrated

laughs are cheap, I'm going for gasps

reply

If it were played entirely serious it would have been much better. The D'Onofrio character was meant for some laughs and it made the film too much of a mash up.

This movie is highly underrated without a doubt, VK was great in it also.

Yes I can't think it deserves a much higher rating than it has here on IMDB and it is definitely one of those gems which far too many people have not even seen.

Better to regret something you did, than something you didn't do!

yes. i watched it back to back with the big labowski (which i've seen before) and i thought it held up well. its a rare film that can stand to follow the cohens'

"I've seen your light. It burns bright forever. No more blue tomorrows... you on high now."

This was val kilmers last good film that I can remember.. I recently saw him in macgruber.. he didn't look so good..

reply

It's definitely one of them. I saw this film ten years ago and loved it. Saw it yesterday and still loved it. Along with Kiss kiss bang bang, one of the last good Val Kilmer films as well.

reply

Watch Felon! I would say that was his last great movie.
