That scene made me feel really queasy and I've got a very soft stomach when it comes to gross out things.

Worst of all, if you check the trivia section the director says the actress is eating actual vomit in that scene.

"The dog bowl of vomit fed to Asami's (Eihi Shiina) prisoner is in fact the actual vomit of actress Eihi. Takashi Miike claims that Eihi is a method actress and insisted on doing this."

reply

So the actor that played the prisoner ate actual vomit? Was the actor a method actor also? Or did they switch it out?

lol, I thought that two - maybe that person just typed it up a bit wrong

reply

He was eating her real vomit. So disgusting. I don't care if you're a method actress that is gross.

"Miike claims that Eihi is a method actress and insisted on doing this".

That's clearly nonsense or some joke gone out of control; it's not even logical - her being a "method actor" doesn't mean she gets to insist other people eat her vomit lol.

Sorry. Not buying the actual vomit claim. Publicity stunt.

I don't love her.. She kicked me in the face!!

reply

Well Japanese are crazy enough to do that crap. From the country that has used underwear vending machines and squid porn.

Well, there is that....

The director said this on the DVD commentary and was clearly joking. It's IMDB's fault for stating it as fact.
