was it just me or was hamilton's death pointless i believe that if costner and ice T stuck together they could of lasted longer. and it was just random to see him come spinning down uzi's blaring i want opinion's people.

I didn't like the way they did this, Hamilton walks on the scene introduced as "you want fire power ? -I give you Hamilton" and Murphy says "I said a couple of guys" to which the chopper pilot (I forget his name) says "he is a couple of of guys" Then when the shootout starts Hanilton takes out 3 or 4 swat guys on his own by shooting 1 then kicking 1 in the face and then stabbing 1. Then we see him gliding accross from the ceiling upsidedown and you see him hit 1 or 2 swat guys and then Kevin Pollack and his partner aim and take him down in a second. They should've showed him take out more like 10 swat guys then shoot Pollack in the arm and then he and his partner fire back and take him down. For the elaborate set-up and sight of him spinning around upside down firing duel uzis he got taken down with such ease.

I think the movie is conveying that Hamilton wasn't the only skillful one in battle... the US Marshal's had some battle-expertise as well.
The chopper pilots name is Jack, by the way.
