Wombat fanatic to dodge the cops? Omigod he was so effin' looney in that scene, I was laughing out loud! He's hysterical (evil but HYSTERICAL!) when he screams at the poor old fan, "What the hell is a wombat?!?" in the most sneering tone imaginable....and then beats him to a pulp out of sight (van rocking in full view of the law), ducking into the driver's seat in that get-up, that face paint, roaring that ridiculous, made-up cheer on the spot!

You know Costner had a ball making this one.

I LOVED every moment of this whacked film because it was PURE STYLIZED FUN - and yes, incredibly violent - but just so FUN - I didn't want it to end!

Let's face it, it had everything.

I truly don't understand who all the viewers are who thought it was garbage and walked out. Doesn't the scorpion tango in the beginning sort of give you a clue? It's a roller coaster and one I'll happily ride again and again!

Kudos to you, Razor Man for being a real sweetie and answering all those posts - it's fans like you that make IMDb the great resource it's become!
