Count all the movie referrences in the storyline

Its pretty cool if you recognize all the movie reps from other films in this one.
The scorpion you see in the bad reminded me of a Henry Fonda/Kirk Douglas film "Their was a crooked Man" in which the outlaw Douglas puts a rattler in a bag of money in case someone else came across it by hook or crook. In that film Fonda gets bit by the rattler much the same way Costner does in the end.
The character Cybil Waingrow has the same name of the lynch pin Wayne Groh in the DeNiro/Pacino crime drama "Heat" Her involvement led to the king pin Costner's demise.
Robbing a Casino seems to be made famous by the movie "Ocean's Eleven" but has been used in many movies before. Reindeer Games was what immediately came to mind on one level and City of Industry came to mind in another. City of Industry they didn't rob a casino, but a jewelry store like in Reservoir Dogs.
Costner driving a car on a crime spree seemed almost too similar to "Perfect World" and it works in this film. You really want to see him dead by the end.
My favorite ref is the very end of the film. It so reminds me of "The Firm" where Cruise's character's brother sails off with a ton of cash near the end free as a bird. Also another "Firm" ref is the secretary's ex who was an Elvis fan who drives his brother off from the feds to freedom was a nice touch.

Their are a few more in this film. Watch it again sometime and you'll see them. Its great.
