Why rip-off the casino when they could just rip off Lovitz?

This movie is beyond ridiculous, but I did like the characters. Even the minor characters were well-developed, especially the waitress and the Priscillas in the elevator.

"Go get your bubble-gum."

Because Murphy wanted the Casino money AND Lovitz's character's money.

Good explanation.

I sometimes get trapped looking at things like a normal person: risk/reward, when is enough enough? Murphy was greedy and thought himself invincible, which is why he died with nothing.

Given Murphy's issues with Elvis, I think it was important to him to make a ruckus at the Elvis convention. The whole Elvis-themed crime was just as important to him as the theft, so simply stealing Lovitz's money wouldn't do.

reply

Well because John Lovitz doesn't make his appearance until about an hour into this movie
