shareDont be foolish. How many people that you know that were alive in the 50's shot up on skag and shot each other all the time. It just doesnt fit into the time frame at ALL, and that was the main reason I wanted to see it. For the 50's gang style, which this movie tarnished by making it as modern as possible. I like the character Leon, but thats about it. This movie shouldve completely copied the Outsiders. It wouldve been better. Yeah, if you wanna recommend this kind of movie to friends, suggest The Outsiders over this one.

yeah, me and my cats went to see this terrable flick. we all wanted to puke, and it wasnt the 2 cases of warm pabst blue ribbon we split either. with a today budget, this movie was so square, that they coulda made 15 outsider remakes and still had money left for coke.
shareIt's not like people *didn't* shoot skag and shot at each other in the 50s. That's just not the 50s that's usually presented to us in the movies, but it happened. And yeah, the gang fights are pretty accurate for the time frame, even though guns didn't much come into play. *shrug* This movie was bad for other reasons. It was hokey, predictable, the plot was razor thin, and it looked like every other movie about the 50s that was made in the 50s while still trying to pretend to be gritty and hard edged. The Outsiders would definately be a much better choice.
