The exact events and characters aren't real, but the movie is based on actual gang actions that took place in the 50's.

Based on various true stories I compiled while doing my research. The original story the screenplay was based on was entitled "The Neighborhood". It was %1000 more intense and graphic. It was much more violent, more drug use, some very hot sex scenes (which were omitted) and some really fun capers/robberies. It was also multi racial, as the Deuces had several african american and hispanic associates, which made them stand out from the rest of the "racially unified" gangs. These guys were "mutts". A group of gangbangers with blood from everywhere. This is also the reason they were profiled and targeted by other gangs. A bit more interesting, huh?
