What a silly movie, waste of talent!

Come on!

I can't believe Faizura Balk, Steven Dorff and Matt Dillon all signed on for this piece of rubbish film!

What were they/their agents THINKING?!?!!?

reply

I thought this was a good movie.

reply

Yeah, I really liked it too.
I don't know why everybody say it sucks.

I'm really surprised at how many people like this movie. I thought it was pretty cheezy. Not very good at all. I was also suprised at how many decent names were in it...stephen dorff, brad renfro, etc.

reply

I totally agree. Alot of talent (or @ least semi-talent) but cheesy & badly filmed... The only reason I sat thru it was for NR & SD... Directed by the guy who did the Basketball Diaries w/Leo Di Caprio? Never saw it but heard good things about it... Hard to believe you'd get something so completely different in terms of quality from the same director...

I really like this movie....and all the people who think its stupid: you people have bad taste in movies!

reply

I liked the movie. About the actors, I think they were all good too.
I watched it at first just because Brad Renfro was in it, but I liked it.

reply

I also watched the movie because of him, he was so hot!

Biba llo i mi kultura!

I enjoyed the movie. Stephen Dorff and Brad Renfro were good in this.

reply

I liked it, too. The ending was incredibly sad but it was still pretty good.

I think people knock on this movie because they think it is some kind of blatant rip-off of films like Westside Story and such. It really isn't, it keeps to its own version of a story about gang violence in Brooklyn.

The story may have some slight weakpoints, and the budget may have been a little low, but people do seriously knock on this movie way to harshly. It was a soild film with a decent representation of the violence that occurred during the 50s era in Brooklyn.

I think the fight scenes in this film are also seriously underrated, as they were very well done in my view.

George Bush smokes Alabama Kusch.

It wasn't THE BEST, but the acting was great and it was entertaining.

Brittany Murphy, Heath Ledger, & Brad Renfro. We love you.

reply

I watched the movie because of Brad Renfro and James Franco, but I thought the sstoryline had some originality (a drug free gang) along with some obvious West Side Story inspiration, but hey, it's one thing to be similar to a movie without being a blatant rip off.

I'm Tom Hanks and I want you in my bed.
