how come the tag line for this film is Before gangs had guns... they fought with guts.. yet the cover poster has stephen dorff aiming a gun ??

Thats just a horrible mess up. in the movie leon is totally against guns, he uses his brass knuckles, which in a deleted scene not in the movie OR dvd (wtf?) tino and the fat guy are explaining to lil jack how 1 person can hurt 6 ppl with a gun in a matter of like 20 seconds but leon could knock out 12 in 5. (refering to the fight in the park)

I don't know, but that tagline is just so wrong. I guess they forgot about the mafia, the gangs of the 30's and 20's, the old west outlaws, and so on.

The 50s were a bit of a lull. Brooklyn gangs in the 20s and 30s were incredible violent with gun play, but most of those guys were in jail in the 50s.

In the 60s, the italians came back and with the rise of the black criminal class, the violence in Queens/Brooklyn skyrocketed.

The guys in the 50s were lucky

I think they're also forgetting that during the one brawl someone broke that rule
