Am I remembering this wrong? (spoilers)

At the end when the servants return to the house, right after Grace tries to shoot them: they are talking to her through the door. I recall from previous viewings that as they are talking to her, they walk *through* the doors.

I just watched it again and they stay outside the doors. Does anyone else remember them walking through the doors?

It would make sense b/c at that time she thought they were ghosts, plus there is the symbolism of her not being able to keep the light (truth) out any longer by locking doors and not being able to keep the (truth-telling) servants out either by locking the door.

They don't come in, they talk to Grace trough the door and tell her to go upstairs and talk to the 'intruders'

Maybe you remembered Grace shooting at them as they walk towards the house and the shots went right through them?

Thanks for your reply.

It’s weird b/c I remember it so clearly, and how scary it was

I remember that as well. because after they do so, Grace freaks and runs up the stairs. Odd, I'll have to watch it again.

Sorry for the late reply. I remember it so clearly! It was a powerful moment.

I kept rewinding and rewinding to see if I was missing it somehow but it’s not there (anymore?) thx for your response!

I think that because Grace and the children thought the three housekeepers were ghosts, it would make sense for them to walk through the doors. If anything, I thought the same thing, but then I may have seen a movie or TV show that copied that exact same scenario (before this movie) where they did walk through the doors, but it was just my memory or imagination.

Besides, we all know who all these people were in the movie, and it was shown (as I recall) that Grace couldn't go through the outer gates of the estate, so I don't think ghosts could walk through barriers like that.

Thanks for your reply. I must have remembered it wrong, as hard as that is for me to believe!
