I agree, one of my favorites. It is underrated but interestingly, everyone I know have seen this movie. I have never heard anyone say Bedazzled? which one was that? Go figure!

This movie is def one of the best comedies! I can't stop laughing when he cries with the sunset and when he says "Yo no hablo espanol" "Donde esta la bilbioteca" ahah. Priceless!!

reply

Oh, you know, I just go out and give it a 110%. And you know, played good, and there's no 'I' in 'team', and just, you know, give it a 110%

And I was pretty shocked to see the rating on this one as well. 5.9%?! I really don't know what movie they were watching. Guess someone hit it on the head; either hating remakes (ignorance) or hating Hurley (ignorance as man o MAN is she hot (and good) in this one!!)

Patty Tannager the Caddy Manager. Yeah it rhymes, big whoop, wanna fight about?

reply

I know!! A freaking 5.9????

very underrated!!
It preaches. + Nichole - the girl he ends up with, looks like Alison. That is lame (it's foocked up actually) .

I agree - a very funny film which deserves a higher rating than it has. Brendan is spectacular in his many roles and I thought Elizabeth Hurley was actually pretty good. Unfortunately, people like not liking her and they LOVE hating remakes.

I haven't seen the original so I can't compare them, but there's no reason they can't both be enjoyable.

Who taught you grammar? Badly's an adverb!

reply

yeah.
people seems to love hating remakes. which is stupid, because just because it has been done does not mean it can be done again, I know some one who liked the ametrican remake of les visteurs better than the french version.
besides in some sence almost all stories are remakes of some kind.

if its a love story; two people meet, but theirs a problem, some kisses and confusion later there together.

scary movies; a group of people meet, a abanded hut, or small town, zombiez\ghost\murders, come and they die one by one.

drama; some one dies\changes sex\war people deal with this. it usallty ends sadly.

pluss you have a couple of dusin verasions of cinderella out there.

orioginality comes less and less nowadays, and usally in smaller doses.

give remakes a chance people.

so true!
just saw it today and exept the first 5 minutes I loved it!

i'm still enjoy watching it till now...never get tired of it.

watching it now for the umpteenth time, love it. Great message behind the whole movie - that it's most important to love yourself than have others love you; that there's no such thing as the perfect person, no matter what. Each one of his lives turns out flawed, in one way or another.

The low rating may be because viewers are comparing it with the original. I usually don't pay much attention to people who complain about the varying qualities of remakes, but in this case, the original "Bedazzled" is so much better than this one that it's hard to ignore -I suspect that's what's brought it down.
