The lesson for being big?

Each of our protagonist's wishes was supposed to teach him a lesson, right? If you're really sensitive, it can work against you. If you have lots of power, you also have lots of enemies. And so forth.

But I kind of missed the point of the lesson when he wished to be a big tall strong sports guy. I thought they were going to play on him being really dumb, but it actually boiled down to him having a really small penis. Was that really the right way to go? What lesson was that supposed to teach our protagonist?

I mean, is this the message: being big and tall is the right and only way to win over a woman, regardless how dumb you are or anything? Size matters?

Are you sure each one was supposed to teach him something?

I'd always thought that each one was purposely designed to be less than satisfying just to make him use them all up — so that the Devil could claim his soul.

Well, the protagonist learned the lessons, because he was basically a nice guy. The devil didn't care if he did or not, the devil wanted the wishes used up so as to claim his soul. So you are both right.

Big elliot used steroids.

Heads or Tails, kitty cat?

Even if you have what you think you want, there will always be something that you don't like

Being dumb would have been the greater lesson. However, the small penis thing was way funnier. And since this was a comedy, I could see why they went that way. However, I agree with you. As far as keeping the theme going, the dumb thing for a big strong jock is more in fitting than a small penis.

Well yeah - having a tiny penis would totally suck. haha
