Questions/Observations.
1) ELLIOT should've known that the deal wasn't a good idea. Not just because he was making it with THE DEVIL, but because she offered him 7 wishes. Why would she do that if she didn't already know that he wouldn't like them. I mean, if he does not-not like a wish, he can't ask for another one.
2) In the wishes, ELLIOT and ALLISON's personalities, jobs, etc. change, but their names don't (except when he wishes to be president, but that's because he asks for it (sort of)). ELLIOT's co-workers's names do change. That means they're entirely different people. Actually, why do they appear in the wishes?
3) In some of the wishes, ELLIOT doesn't have any memories of his "new" past, but in others he does. There are combinations. I mean, how can drug lord ELLIOT speak Spanish and Russian without being aware of it? How can he remember the names of RAOUL and his men and that ALLISON takes English lessons, but not remember that he deals cocaine? How can intellectual ELLIOT remember everything he has written but not that he's gay? When did basketball player ELLIOT write all those notes with "666"?
4) After the wish for being sensitive is over, he confronts THE DEVIL about her ruining his wishes through semantics. She apologizes, he feels bad and then realizes that she was faking it. So... why does he keep wishing?
5) Intellectual ELLIOT realizes that he's gay, tells it to ALLISON after kissing her and she just leaves. Shouldn't she be angry and/or confused?
6) Throughout the movie, we see THE DEVIL doing evil things. At one point, she's a teacher who tells her students not to study. That's... not really evil.
7) ELLIOT wishes for ALLISON to have a happy life. This self-less act breaks the deal. What about when he wished to be president? He talked about wanting to do things for other people.
8) At the end, BOB makes fun of ELLIOT while the other co-workers watch and giggle. He acts like he's standing up to bullies. Why? He wasn't a victim. That was the result of him being annoying.
9) It's implied that the wise cellmate is GOD (he's playing chess with THE DEVIL at the end). I thought this would cause a controversy. I mean, he said *beep* and was smoking.
10) Everytime THE DEVIL makes a deal with someone, GOD is behind it? I mean, it's all a test to see if the soul can be redeemed through a self-less action? And if they do, they get the prize of a happy life (in ELLIOT's case, meeting NICOLE)?
