Brendan saved this movie.
Without him, the movie might have even sucked. He did an incredible job embodying so many characters! I've always liked this guy, he never gets the attention he deserves. ξΉ

He was funny here
sharewell i beg to differ, listen, brendan fraser is great in the dream sequences and a likeable guy and all that, but the credit here goes to elizabeth hurley, it's "her show" and she is hilarious in the part, and if it wasn't for her i probably wouldn't have discovered this as i was hooked on her as a kid, and i've had it up to here with people saying she can't act, probably just careless comments cause she's a model, i admit she didn't get much space in "austin powers", but she's an ace in this. anyway, back to the movie, notice in the beginning where out of nowhere hurley suddenly lands elliot with a heavy kiss, you know how you can become common with a movie since you have been watching it since forever and become blind to it, sort of used to scenes, it struck me just now as i rewatched it what a far out of nowhere moment that is, and it must have been quite the different treatment for elliot who can't even make friends with the people at his work place, and then she tells the girls around to get lost and elliot first mistakes her for being a prostitute. again, the movie really doesn't hit off and becomes funny until elizabeth hurley appears, i find the scenes before that and those she's out of drags on a bit.

in this ghost house,
me and memories reside,
shell of what used to be,
dust on the life i used to live,
fill my spirit for a while,
give me a taste of the good old times,
darlin you know how to make me feel alive.
