Very Funny Movie

Putting the originality, or the quality of the story itself aside, I have to say I find some elements of this movie very funny.

The combination of interesting (eccentric) characters and their interactions results in some extremely funny moments. Comparing it to other Disney movies, I would say it's funnier than most.

Milo: "It must have taken hundreds.. no, thousands of years to carve this thing"
Vinny: "Hey look, I made a bridge. It only took me like, what, ten seconds. Eleven tops."

The Mole: "The magma has solidified in the bowels of the volcano, effectively blocking the exit"
Mrs. Packard: "I've got the same problem with sour *beep*

Ha ha, I think Vinny is what made it funny for me.

I would agree. Very funny, and Vinny was top of a bunch of various characters that gave rise to laughs.

And I would disagree with comments elsewhere that decry this film because of technical and writing lack of originality. I am happy with that. It's why I watch Disney films. They can be original elsewhere, on other projestc if they like. But I would be disappointed if they abandoned their "bread and butter". If I go for apple pie and vanilla custard, I want apple pie and vanilla custard. If I want payesh, then I'll try a certain asian themed place...

But what's so great about this movie is the dialogue and characters! That is what MAKES this!
Throw in some great action sequences and impressive CGI, and you have a movie that can't (hmh. . . ) lose!

It's just a fun, fun ride, and I love every second of it!

Another moment I thought was totally hilarious was when Mole whispered in Kida's ear. You just know he said something dirty and perverted to her! :o)

All we heard was in bold, but it is the beginning of a very popular line in France and a song by Christina Aguilera.

Rourke, Vinny, Cookie, Sweet and Milo had probably the BEST lines in the film, great stuff lol 
