Dr. Paul Gregory question (possible spoilers)

HELLo

I have a question regarding Dr. Paul Gregory

Weren't both Dr. Gregory AND the Engineer false identities assumed by Pinhead?
I thought so, but i have read threads saying the Enigineer was actually Joseph Thorne

I'm confused now.
Anyone?

Thanx for clearing that up, Lead Cenobite,
i must've missed that

I'll have to watch the movie again

reply

I disagree.
The 'killer' and the 'engineer' are 2 different people. While as, yes, Joseph IS indeed the killer, he is NOT the engineer... Pinhead is.

reply

No. Joseph is the Engineer. The Dr./Pinhead is only there to show him that he is the killer and the Engineer just like he designed him to.

"Every living creature on this earth dies alone."

"Hunt for the Engineer and the Engineer will hunt you"

Pinhead isn't really hunting Joseph but letting him fall into a trap of his own creation.

However Joseph IS hunting the Engineer. and if he IS the Engineer then... yeah, he's hunting himself. It's circular.

How can Joseph be the Engineer and not KNOW he's the Engineer. The Engineer, as stated by the ice cream dude, killed Terry's gf by cutting her head off and all that stuff... so is Josepf was the engineer, that means that HE did all that. So WHY didn't/wouldn't he remember that? I think some people are taking it too far thinking Joe is the Engineer, but I am open to intellegent debate.

Remember, nothing after he opens the box is REAL. The moment he opens the Box he goes to Hell. We even get to see the moment. Just after he opensteh box, a blue light shines into the bathroom. Josepth seems to get a headache and the entire screen goes black for a moment. That's when he's entered Hell. From then on everything is vague. All the stories heard are part of Hell's trap, the mystery ste up for Josepth. It doens't meant it ever really happened in reality.
